On Saturday our friend Dave Lorman in Elko was baptized a member of the church. I first met Dave in 1999 when he and I were on Staff together for a Wood Badge course at Fuller Lake. He has been on nine Wood Badge Staffs, most of the same ones that I have been on. His wife Reta has been on staff as well including a Course Director in 2006. She is an active member of the church. I guess a lot of good people rubbed off on Dave until he decided to take the plunge and be a member as well.
His son Travis baptized him. It took three times. ( Dave is a big guy.) We had about 10 there from different Wood Badge staffs. It was a long day to drive to Elko and back in one day but I think it was worth it.
